Sustainability included - we are ClimatePartner and FSC certified!

We have spared no expense or effort to have the entire production chain for the manufacture of our products FSC and ClimatePartner certified. In this way, we want to further advance our sustainability as a company!

Recycling and regionality are also very important at Gutenberg AG. By properly disposing of and separating various recyclable materials, we were able to ensure that a total of 121 tons of material could be returned to the manufacturing process last year alone.

As a regional printing company, we also reduce CO₂ emissions through short transport routes. In this way, we combine high-quality printing with ecological responsibility - for sustainable solutions that you can trust.

What does it mean to be a ClimatePartner?

As a ClimatePartner, we make sure to produce climate-neutral products. To award the label, a company's CO₂ emissions are first calculated. These are then offset by supporting a climate protection project. A company can choose various climate protection projects from a portfolio of ClimatePartner and decide which project they would like to support.

We, Gutenberg AG, support structurally weak regions with our selected climate protection projects in the area of "renewable energies". With these project activities, we are making a contribution to the following UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy
SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth
SDG 13: Climate action

FSC certification and its background

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) is an international organization that is committed to more sustainable forest management. The wood for paper production comes from forests that are managed more responsibly. The aim is to preserve the forests and animals in the long term. The rights and safety of forest workers are also taken into account in the FSC certification and guarantee safe working conditions and fair wages.

The FSC organization's aim is transparency. Certified companies are usually inspected annually on site by independent auditors and the results are published. Our certification can be checked online using the following license number: FSC-C198899.
