Our Core Labor Standards
1. We do not use child labor.
- No workers under the age of 15 will be employed. No person under the age of 18 will be employed in dangerous or heavy work, unless it is for training purposes within the framework of approved national laws and regulations.
- People aged 13 to 15 are only allowed to do light work, which does not interfere with their education, nor is it harmful to the children’s health or development. Where children are subject to compulsory schooling, they work only outside of school during regular working hours.
- The subcontractor prohibits the worst forms of child labor.
2. We exclude all forms of forced and compulsory labor, in particular:
- Physical and sexual violence
- Debt bondage
- Withholding wages/ including payment of labour fees and/ or payment of a deposit to take up employment
- Restriction of the employee's mobility
- Retention of passport and/or identification documents
- Threats of denunciation to authorities
- Employment relationships are voluntary and based on mutual consent, without threat of punishment.
3. We ensure that employment and professional practices are non-discriminatory.
4. We respect freedom of association and the effective right to collective bargaining.
- Employees have the right to establish or join worker organizations of their choice.
- The subcontractor (and, if applicable, the affiliated locations in Switzerland/Liechtenstein) respects the full freedom of the employee organizations to establish their statutes and rules.
- We respect the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining. Workers will not be discriminated against or penalized for exercising these rights.
- We will negotiate in good faith with lawfully established employee organizations and/or duly elected representatives and, where appropriate, use our best efforts to conclude a collective agreement.
- Collective agreements are implemented where they exist.
